The She’s a Hoot design is simply irresistible! These are one of my personal favorites! The traditional brown resin is the perfect background for the glittery overlay.  They are perfect for fall but can be worn all year! This is a perfect gift for any the owl/ nature lover. Grab a pair of She’s a hoot for yourself because they are so darn cute. And then get an extra pair to to give to that super fun friend that really is a hoot!

Handmade with you in mind

I hand create my earrings using a combination of 1/16 inch laser cut basswood, UV resin, glass and tarnish free metal beads, and hypoallergenic/ sterling silver ear wires.  Because I choose a thin basswood as a base for most of my unique pieces, they are super lightweight. The backs are finished but I only apply resin to the front in order to keep them from being heavy. And we all know that Lightweight earrings are non-negotiable! Am I right, Ladies?

Because I handcraft these, each pair is unique. Slight variations may occur in the wood, color, or shape. Great care is given to creating detailed pieces that also offer durability.

I started making earrings as a fun and creative outlet for Shannon’s Fun Finds. 

Shannon’s Fun Finds is my small business launched to bring a fun element to regular days. Its purpose is to help fund our annual mission trip with Blue Skies Ministries. Blue Skies is an organization that brings hope to families actively battling pediatric cancer. Families living through the unimaginable hardships are taken on a retreat. This week long getaway is designed to restore hope to these families by lifting them about the clouds of this childhood disease. 

Due to the pandemic, the cost of attending this annual retreat has gone up tremendously. So much of our lives have changed since 2020. Unfortunately, the amount of children diagnosed with cancer has not gone down just because the cost has gone up.
