Why is customizing tea towels one of my favorite things to do?

Because I get to make something functional into something FUNctional!

Tea towels are fun!

Dish towels in a kitchen are a necessity.  And we can add so much fun to your space by personalizing them! The best part is that you can never have too many. You can change them out for seasons, holidays, or special dinner guests, or even the create a laugh or two for your family.

I love helping you customize your home by creating home decor that is both useful and fun.

How cute is it to make your space your own while showcasing your personality, lifestyle, and even your sense of humor?

Thank you for letting me be part of your home!

The kitchen is the heart of your home

This is the real age old question! It has nothing to do with a chicken or egg coming first!
I don't know about you, but I've certainly had a snaccident or two!
I’m convinced there are only three kinds of women: those that love to bake, those that love to cook, and those that believe the kitchen is for dancing (or at least gathering and hanging out.)
And we all know that food, for men, is the pathway to their hearts. Remember all of the meals start in the kitchen.

At any rate, people generally enjoy their kitchens. It is essentially the heart of the home.

Our kitchens are not only the place we eat, it’s where many of us gather at the beginning of the day, after school and work, and then again in the evening.
In many homes, the kitchen is a place to plan, prepare, bake, and cook. For most families, it’s the place we come together to talk about our day, share our lives,  do homework together, do chores, play music, and laugh.

And yes for some of us, it is occasionally converted, and becomes the perfect dance floor.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your home.

What makes your tea towel special?

As I work on your special item, I pray over each one. I pray for the recipient and their home. It’s a way for me to help to fill your house with love, laughter, fun, and most importantly share the love of God.

Your Special Message

This towel is one of the favorites in my home. That is mainly because this verse is so special to me.
Taste and see that the Lord is good. – Psalms 34:8
When we first take taste something, we are sampling it, or trying it out. We taste it in order to get an initial experience and then to decide if we want to go all in or even have it again.
I first embraced this verse when I was learning to eat. Literally, I had to learn how to eat again as an adult. Not because I was sick but because I really didn’t understand the effects food had on my body.
As I started to embrace a new lifestyle that included healthier food choices, I learned that I needed to taste new things. I tried out new foods that better fueled my body – and I learned that I liked many of them. And I also learned that I could trust them to make me healthier and make me feel better. Ultimately, I found that I could trust certain foods with my well-being.  Some- well one in particular, let’s call it broccoli, is occasionally added to my meals strictly because of its health benefits. I’ve learned to trust some foods because I know they will give me energy and make me feel good.
When we first taste something, we take a small sampling and test it. We allow our tongues to touch just the tip of the spoon and then slowly engage more over time. We don’t over commit because we aren’t sure we can trust it.What if we don’t like it? What if it is not good? By tasting, we can slowly gain confidence in it and eventually rely on that new food for our well being.
Psalms 34:8 invites us to taste or sample God.
Close relationships aren’t built quickly. We take time to get to know the nature and character of the new friend. We taste a little at a time, trusting them at first with small things, with pieces our hearts, secrets, and well-being. The best and closest relationships usually started with one secret, sampling, or testing and over time that relationship deepens until true trust develops. As we grow to rely on the person, we start to feel as though we don’t want to go through a day without spending time with – or at least talking with them.
That is exactly how many of us learn to trust God. We either spend time learning about Him and His nature and then trust Him, or we go all in at the beginning learning to lean on Him more and more as the stakes get higher.
This verse in Psalms invites us to do that. Sample God, trust Him with a little at first until we are comfortable. When we do, we find that He does not disappoint. He does not fail us. The process of building that trust becomes our spiritual walk and it’s beautiful because we eventually learn that we can truly depend on God for all of our needs. No only can we depend completely on Him and His goodness, we find that all things good come directly from God.
This doesn’t always come quickly, but when we taste and see that the Lord is good,  we will eventually learn to trust the Lord, our God, with all of our heart, soul, and mind.
